Titanium Grade 9 Pipes, alternatively known as Ti-3Al-2.5V (DIN 3.7195), contain about 3% aluminum, 2.5% vanadium, with the remaining balance titanium, together with trace constituents of iron (up to 0.25%) and oxygen (up to 0.15%). This material offers a very good combination of strength, weight, and corrosion resistance. The major mechanical properties are tensile strength around 620 MPa, yield strength of 483 MPa, and elongation 20%. With a density of 4.48 g/cm³, Titanium Gr 9 Pipes are strong and ductile, hence resistant yet light under stressful applications.
