Titanium bolts are mostly made of commercially pure titanium or titanium alloys like Ti-6Al-4V (Grade 5) that contain 6% aluminum and 4% vanadium for added strength and resistance to corrosion. They have superior stiffness, hardness, strength, corrosion resistance, and fatigue properties, and they have a tensile strength of up to 900 MPa, a yield strength of about 830 MPa, and a density of only 4.5 g/cm³.
