Titanium Grade 2 Fasteners consist mainly of 99% titanium and traces of iron (0.30% max), oxygen (0.25% max), and other constituents. This combination gives an optimum strength and corrosion-resistant balance, especially for seawater and aggressive chemical environments. The fasteners have a tensile strength of around 344 MPa and a yield strength of about 275 MPa, thereby being lightweight and durable. Their good weldability, low weight (4.5 g/cm³), and biocompatibility even improve their applicability to aerospace, marine, chemical, and biomedical fields.
