Titanium Grade 6 Pipes (Ti UNS R54520/DIN 3.7114) contain 90–94% titanium, 4.0–6.0% aluminum, and 1.0–1.5% tin as primary alloying constituents. This blend improves strength, corrosion resistance, and high-temperature performance. Mechanical properties are in the form of tensile strength of about 825 MPa, yield strength of 550 MPa, and elongation of 10–15%. With a density of 4.43 g/cm³, these pipes have a very good strength-to-weight ratio along with greater resistance to oxidation and corrosion, and hence are best suited for aerospace, marine, and chemical purposes involving endurance in severe conditions.
