Titanium Grade 3 Pipes (UNS R50550/DIN 3.7055) contain 90–94% titanium, with aluminum (6.0–7.0%) and vanadium (3.5–4.5%) being added for added strength and corrosion resistance. The alloy provides high durability under oxidizing and reducing environments, especially in chemical and marine industries. Principal mechanical properties are tensile strength of about 460 MPa, yield strength of 275 MPa, and elongation of 20%, along with a low density of 4.48 g/cm³. The outcome is a high strength-to-weight ratio, greater durability, and reliability for demanding industrial use.
