Super Duplex Steel Wire has around 25% chromium, 7% nickel, 3–4% molybdenum, and nitrogen with iron as the base metal to give a well-balanced microstructure of austenite and ferrite. It has a remarkable composition to impart excellent mechanical properties, such as 750–800 MPa tensile strength and about 450 MPa yield strength. It has good toughness, very high fatigue strength, and better resistance to chloride-induced stress corrosion cracking. Furthermore, its exceptional pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in acidic and seawater conditions guarantees durability and reliability for the most demanding industrial uses.
