Inconel 625 is a nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloy with the inclusion of niobium, giving it exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. It has a normal composition of 58% nickel, 20–23% chromium, 8–10% molybdenum, and 3.15–4.15% niobium. Inconel 625 forged fittings contain tensile strength of approximately 827 MPa and yield strength of 414 MPa with good ductility and excellent fatigue resistance. The alloy maintains mechanical stability from cryogenic temperatures to 980°C. It also offers exceptional resistance to pitting, crevice corrosion, and chloride stress corrosion cracking, which is best suited to aggressive chemical and sea environments.
