Inconel 601 is an alloy of nickel-chromium-iron with additions of aluminum that provides excellent resistance to high-temperature corrosion and oxidation. Its standard composition consists of 58–63% nickel, 21–25% chromium, and a maximum of 1.7% aluminum. Inconel 601 stud bolts provide tensile strength of approximately 600 MPa and yield strength of about 275 MPa, with superb thermal stability up to 1200°C. The alloy resists scaling, carburization, sulfidation, and spalling under cyclic heating, making the alloy perfect for applications that need both mechanical integrity and corrosion resistance during extended service periods.
