Monel manifold valves consist mainly of 63% nickel and 28–34% copper, with minor ingredients of iron, manganese, carbon, and silicon. These constituents impart superior corrosion resistance in acidic and alkaline media and seawater. Monel valves are mechanically strong with high toughness and good durability over a wide temperature range. They resist oxidation, stress corrosion cracking, and pitting for reliable operation in harsh conditions.
