ERNiFeCr-1 wires and rods mainly consist of nickel, iron, and chromium, with additions of niobium and molybdenum. Nickel provides corrosion resistance, while iron and chromium help stabilize the alloy. Niobium adds strength through precipitation hardening, and molybdenum improves resistance to localized corrosion. Weld deposits usually reach tensile strengths above 800 MPa with excellent toughness and ductility. These consumables retain mechanical stability at high temperatures and during thermal cycling.
