Invar Sheets and Plates are specialized iron-nickel alloys with about 36% nickel, designed specifically to minimize thermal expansion. They offer outstanding dimensional stability, impressive toughness, and good ductility, even at cryogenic temperatures. Their mechanical properties include a coefficient of thermal expansion of approximately 1.2 × 10⁻⁶/°C between –100 °C and +200 °C, tensile strengths ranging from 450 to 650 MPa, and excellent machinability.
