Inconel 617 is a nickel-chromium-cobalt-molybdenum alloy that possesses superior strength and oxidation resistance at high temperatures up to 1100°C. The typical composition of the alloy is 44.5–61% nickel, 20–24% chromium, 8–10% cobalt, and 9–10% molybdenum. Inconel 617 pipe fittings possess tensile strength of about 540 MPa, yield strength of about 300 MPa, and superior creep resistance.
